Director: Marion Mitchell.has been the pre-school director since 2000. She says that the most rewarding part of her job is meeting new families and sharing all the wonderful programs that Thalia Trinity ECS has to offer. Recently Mrs. Mitchell has also been enjoying assisting in the classroom for the three-year-olds. She  feels she is a better director because she has been in the classroom working with the teachers and students. Mrs. Mitchell has her undergraduate degree in Home Economics, with a Business Concentration, from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, and she has been an active member of Thalia Trinity Presbyterian Church since 1974.

Four-year-olds' teacher: Sue Miller has brought fresh new ideas to our program.  Mrs. Miller received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from West Virginia University, and a Master's Degree in Public School Administration from Old Dominion University. She came to us with four years' experience as a second grade teacher, plus one year as an assistant principal. (And her youngest son Johnny attended our program several years ago!)

Three-year-olds' teacher: Cathy Graham has worked in the pre-school setting for many years. Prior to coming to Thalia Trinity ECS she was a 3-year-old teacher at another Christian pre-school for four years. She has also been the Director of Nursery Ministries at Thalia UMC for 8 years, and for the last two years has also been the Director of Children's Ministries. For many years Mrs. Graham has been the Vacation Bible School Director for the combined Thala United Methodist and Thalia Trinity Presbyterian Churches. She attended the University of Maine where she majored in both French and History. Cathy is delighted to be working at Thalia ECS as the teacher of the 3-year olds!

Assistant teacher: Chrissy Vacca came to us with eight years' Early Childhood School experience. She has been enorlled at Tidewater Community College pursuing her Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development, although she has recently taken a break from her studies to care for her baby. She plans to resume pursuing her educational plans at a later date. Mrs. Vacca enjoys the interaction she has with the children at Thalia's ECS, and is also greatly enjoying her newborn baby boy.

Assistant teacher Tammy Windham attended Virginia Wesleyan College where she majored in elementary education until she decided to start a family.  She has worked as a teacher at Parish Day School's summer program Camp Turtle Trap, and was head of Christian Education and the Youth Group programs at Bow Creek Presbyterian Church.  2016 was her first year at Thalia Early Childhood School, but says it already feel like home.

Music teacher: Donna Wilhoit is our pre-school's music teacher. She graduated from Atlantic Christian College with a degree in Elementary Education and has 29 years' experience working with children. A former elementary school teacher with the Virginia Beach City Public Schools, Mrs. Wilhoit currently works as a substitute teacher for both the public schools and for our pre-school. She has been a member of Thalia Trinity Presbyterian Church since she was 13 years old and sings with the Adult Choir. Donna really enjoys teaching our little ones to sing!
